Recognize your situation

You don’t need all the answers before we talk.

Three common starting points. All of them lead to the same introductory call — they aren’t separate packages.

“I need a plan”

You know it’s time — a new home, a new child, a health scare, or simply the nagging sense that nothing is written down. We start with what you want to happen, then choose the documents.

Start your estate plan

“I need to update my plan”

Your documents were right for a different life. Marriages, moves, businesses, grandchildren, and new law all change what a plan should say. We read what you have and tell you what still works.

Start your estate plan

“I’m not sure what I need”

Will or trust? Power of attorney? Something for the house? You don’t have to answer that before you call. Sorting it out is exactly what the introductory call is for.

How it works

Your estate plan, step by step.

Know where you are, what happens next, and how we help.

  1. Introductory Call

    Let’s see if we’re a good fit

Share your needs. Get to know our approach.

Tell us what you’re looking for and ask your initial questions. We’ll discuss whether our services match your needs — and whether you’d like to work with us.

Milestone A clear decision about the next step.

  2. Strategy Session

    Build your strategy

Clarify your wishes. Gather the details.

We work through what you want your plan to accomplish and gather the family, financial, and other information needed to prepare it.

Milestone Agreed direction and the information needed for drafting.

  3. Drafting

    We draft your plan

    Your decisions become draft documents.

Our team prepares your estate-planning documents based on the strategy and information developed with you.

Milestone Documents ready for your review.

  4. Review & Approval

    You review and approve

Ask questions. Review changes. Give your approval.

Review your draft documents, ask questions, and discuss any changes. Once the documents reflect your approved decisions, we move to signing.

Milestone Approved documents ready for signing.

Changes loop back to drafting until the documents say what you mean.

  5. Signing & Implementation

Sign and put your plan in place

Sign your documents. Complete the applicable funding and deed steps.

We guide you through signing and the funding or deed work included in your plan, with clear responsibilities and next steps.

Milestone Signed documents and completion of the agreed implementation work, with anything outstanding clearly identified.

Funding and deed work, as applicable.

The final step is more than a signature

Sign. Put the plan in place. Know what’s left to do.

  1. Signing

    Complete your approved documents.

  2. Funding

Address the funding steps that apply to your plan.

  3. Deed work

Complete the real-estate document work included in your engagement.

We’ll explain which steps apply, who handles them, and what you need to do. Not every plan needs all three, and they don’t always happen in a fixed order.

You bring the wishes. We guide the work.

The introductory call

What happens on the first call

A conversation, not an application. It’s where we decide together whether there’s a fit.

01

What we talk about

What prompted you to reach out, what you’d like a plan to do, and your initial questions. We’ll tell you plainly whether the work you’re asking for is something we do — and whether we’re the right fit for each other.

02

What to bring

Just yourself. If you have existing documents or a specific event or deadline in mind, mention it — but you don’t need a financial inventory, account numbers, or a finished list of wishes for this conversation.

03

What happens after

When there’s a fit, we explain the next step and set up your strategy session with simple preparation notes. If you’d rather think it over, that’s fine too — you decide the pace.

Start Your Estate Plan

You don’t need a completed estate plan — or all the answers — to start this conversation.

Practical questions

Before you request a call

Can we work together remotely?
Yes. Remote options are available. We’ll explain how meetings, document review, signing, and any funding or deed work will be handled for your plan.
Do I need to know exactly what documents I want?
You can start by telling us what you’re trying to accomplish. The introductory call helps establish whether we’re a good fit; the strategy session is where we work through your plan in detail.
What happens during the introductory call?
We discuss what you need, whether we can provide the requested services, and whether you’d like to work with us. We’ll explain the next step when there’s a fit.
Will I review the documents before signing?
Yes. Drafting is followed by your review and approval. You’ll have the opportunity to ask questions and discuss changes before signing.
What about funding or deed work?
We explain the funding and deed work that applies to your agreed plan, who is responsible for each step, and what needs to happen after signing. Not every plan requires the same work.
How much does it cost, and how long does it take?
Every plan is different, so we don’t quote a fee or a finish date before we understand what you need. After the introductory call and strategy session you’ll know the scope of the work and the fee before anything is drafted. Read how we think about pricing.

Start with a conversation — not a stack of paperwork.
