Richard is the most genuine, down-to-earth person you’ll ever encounter. Whether we are discussing lien and subrogation law or business ethics, Richard is always thoughtful and has a true passion for the law. Around the office, he’s eager to lend a hand to another team member and has such an easygoing attitude that our clients and our staff know they can always come to him with questions.
Currently residing in Raleigh, Richard was raised in Wake Forest, N.C., and is proud to call the Triangle area home. Richard attended Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Virginia, where he graduated in 2009 with a bachelor’s degree in political science and a minor in sociology. He returned to North Carolina to attend North Carolina Central School of Law, where he graduated with his Juris Doctorate in 2015.
When Richard isn’t at work, he enjoys listening to music, fishing and rooting for the Virginia Tech Hokies and the Duke Blue Devils. He also loves being around friends and family, and on the weekends you may find him traveling to the lake with his wife, Stacy.
Since he joined the Pierce Law Group team as an Of-Counsel Attorney, his research capabilities, persuasive writing skills, and legal knowledge have come in handy time and time again. Whether he is explaining workers’ compensation law or preparing for a hearing, his goal is to always be an advocate for our clients and we are lucky to have him our team.
