Laura Beth’s quick smile and easy sense of humor underlie her sharp wit and fierce loyalty. Taking pride in her ability to relate to clients and serve those in need of legal counsel, she brings a positive attitude to every day.
Laura Beth earned a bachelor’s degree in Political Science with minors in Spanish and International Affairs from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington in 2006. She attended North Carolina Central University School of Law, graduating magna cum laude in 2010. Laura Beth then went on to earn her LL.M. (Masters of Law) in Taxation from the University of Washington in Seattle in 2011. She is admitted to practice in North Carolina and in Washington, before the Ninth Circuit and before the United States District Court for the Western District of Washington and the Eastern District of North Carolina.
Since 2012, Laura Beth has been handling appeals in Social Security cases. Laura Beth is the daughter of a nurse and a disabled worker, which gives her a unique perspective on how disabilities impact individuals and their families. Laura Beth also has experience handling a range of civil claims, including administrative law, business and contract disputes, and estate matters.
Laura Beth has never met a dessert that she didn’t like. She also enjoys reading, writing, politics, watching the Mariners and the Mudcats play baseball and recently began practicing yoga. She lives in Zebulon with her husband, Brett, and two sons.
